Ed is currently playing off 2 goals and travels extensively within Australia and Overseas playing professionally. He is available for hire on a game to game basis as well as seasonal contracts. Ed has a consistent string of around 12 -15 made ponies all year round.
Katie is currently playing off 1 goal. She travels alongside Ed in Australia training and playing all JM Polo’s young horses until they are ready for sale, or to step up into the A string.
Training/Schooling/Re Schooling
Whatever your training need JM Polo can comprise a training programme to suit your horse. Whether your horse needs fully comprehensive training or just needs a reminder before your season starts they can accommodate. Horses are accepted for periods of time tailored to suit each individual. All horses that come to Ashcroft must have been wormed and vaccinated regularly.
Groom Training
Getting a new groom this season? Can’t spare the time or don’t need the hassle of training them up? Send them to JM Polo for a week before your season starts. Katie has worked for many years in polo and has groomed for some of the game’s biggest names. Over this period of time she has learnt many different ways to do things and has exceptionally high standards when it comes to training and turning out horses for polo. Let her take your new groom through each aspect of their job so when they are ready to start work for you all you should need to do is introduce them to your horses! Whether you have four horses and just play at the weekends or you have a string of twenty and are playing the high goal JM Polo can provide this invaluable service that will take away all the hassle. We all know how much easier life is when you have a good groom and more importantly how much happier the horses are, and how much better they then perform.

Horse Sourcing
JM Polo travels extensively and as such they are exposed to many of the current polo ponies playing in the country, including many horses that are on the market. JM polo can offer the service of finding the right horse for you. If you’re interested in purchasing just one horse or several they are able to take the hard work out of it for you. All that is required is the criteria and qualities you wish your horse to possess, and JM polo can collate a shortlist of horses for you to try at one location at your convenience.
Quarantine
Ashcroft has been certified by the Australian Department of Primary Industries as a suitable quarantine station and can house up to 80 horses happily. All paddocks were purpose built for horses with electrified fencing including sight wires. They also feature free flowing troughs on town water. (Airport transfers are available)
