JM Polo still holds straws that are available for sale from the highly sought after Stallion Cauca.
The majority of JM horses are sired by this well respected Argentine horse. He was imported from Argentina in the early 90’s. He played 2 chukkas in the 1989 Argentine Open final, as a 5 year old, for 9 goaler Santiago Gaston Bede, bred by 8 goaler Martin Zubia. He has also played in numerous 40-40 challenges in Australia, being played by the likes of 10 goaler Gonzalo Pieres. Cauca has sired many successful horses in Australia for Ellerston, Wastecorp and Garangula to name a few. Arguably two of the best bred polo horses in Australia were sold to Ronnie Wanless of Wastecorp Polo Team, Claudia and Lager, both possessing the JM brand, and also both being multiple winners of champion pony prizes at Ellerston in the 16 and 18goal. Claudia has just recently been sold again to 8 goaler A. Muzzio to play in Argentina.
Cauca has progeny playing successfully in England, New Zealand, America, Argentina, Chile, Thailand and the Philippines.
